2009 Cheltenham Preview and Early Betting Tips With Totesport

Can you believe that the 2009 Cheltenham Meeting is only a few short months away? Things are already starting to heat up on the betting markets and you can count on a few more surprises between now and then. But let's take a look at where things are standing in a couple of the races. If you're going to be doing your betting online for the Cheltenham Festival- get in on the action at Totesport. This is what they do best and you can bank on them offering up more value than other sites. Supreme Novices HurdleCurrently, Cousin Vinny and Hurricane Fly are both sitting at 9/2 to win the 2009 Supreme Novice Hurdle, but I expect Cousin Vinny to shorten a bit heading into the final weeks before the race. Barring injury or some other unforeseen occurrence, I'm liking Cousin Vinny for this one but I'm also drawn to 20/1 Conflictofinterest. Zaarito and Dee Ee Williams are listed at 12/1 and 14/1, respectively and I feel as though either rof them could challenge here. Copper Bleu at 25/1 isn't a bad bet for the show position either. Queen Mother Champion ChaseMaster Minded is listed as a substantial favourite to secure the 2009 Queen Mother Champion Chase in a similar method to his stunning victory in 2007. Listed at 2/5 and with odds expected to shorten going into the race, if you're going to back him I say back him now. I expect some tough competition in this one and I don't see Master Minded walking away with this one that easily. Tamarinbleu at 33/1 is excellent value, but I'm looking at Voy Por Ustedes as the main competitor to challenge Master Minded's supremacy. Royal & Sun Alliance ChaseWhat A Friend is the 8/1 favourite, at the moment, to win the prestigious Royal & Sun Alliance Chase at the Cheltenham Festival. You can also take a look at the massive field tucking in just behind What A Friend with 5 different horses all listed between 11/1 and 12/1. Aran Concerto is edged just a hairsbreath ahead of the chasing pack listed at 11/1. Cooldine, Breedsbreeze, Trafford Lad, and Gone to Lunch are all coming in at 12/1 and I think any one of those four could wind up on your show tickets. We'll have to wait a bit to see who the form horse is going into the race. I think What a Friend is offering up some solid value at the moment, but this one is a much closer race than some of the others at this point. Either way, you can spread out your options a bit more by backing at ¼ the odds on a 1,2 or 3 finisher with totesport.
