2009 GRAND SLAM OF DARTS BETTING TIPS
Piles of action today from the 2009 Grand Slam of Darts and we've got the biggest names in the business doing battle. In the first fixture of the day we've got Mervyn King taking on Kirk Shepherd. King is a heavy 1/5 favourite and I think he should be able to wrap this one up quickly. If you fancy Shepherd for the upset, he's listed with Blue Square at 10/3. Raymond van Barneveld is a ridiculously-priced favourite going up against Francis Hoesenlaar. You'll find Barney at 1/500 and if you think Hoesenlaar is going to pull off an incredible upset, then you'll be well-rewarded as he's carrying a 33/1 price. Tony O'Shea takes on Brian Woods later in the evening and I think Woods is well-priced for the upset at 7/4. I think this is one of the more plausible results of the evening and it could be an integral part of an accumulators you're putting together with mostly short-priced favourites. O'Shea pays out at a 2/5 margin. Phil Taylor takes on Anastasia Deobromyslova and this one seems to be a foregone conclusion, although the bookmakers don't have as much confidence in him as van Barneveld as Taylor is only listed at 1/200. Dobromyslova is available at 20/1. Kevin Painter takes on John Part and this one could be a real close contest, with Painter just edging part at an 8/11 price. John Part is a quality competitor on his day and he is priced at evens. I think this one could certainly be one of the best to watch, but its hard to pick a favourite.Darryl Fitton is listed at 1/2 in his match-up against Steve Maish, who is available at a 6/4 price. I think Fitton should pull this one off and I actually think he's one of the more solid bets of the day. Finally, Mark Webster takes on Vincent Van der Voort and Webster is available at evens. I would take him over Van der Voort and he's short-priced at 8/11. My accumulator tip at Blue Square is King (1/5) x Woods (7/4) x Fitton (1/2) x Webster (evens) @ 9.9
