2009 HONDA CLASSIC BETTING TIPS
Some of the biggest names in golf are contesting the 2009 Honda Classic at Palm Beach Gardens in Florida. While we expect all of the players to be excited by the "An Evening With Kenny G" concert happening at this year's event, we all get the feeling that their minds will be focused on the conditions of the course as opposed to the tousled tresses of a clarinettist. I have a feeling that the weather in South Florida could factor into the equation and a gusty course could make the betting a bit more variable. Either way, there's a only a few serious contenders for this one and they include Sergio Garcia, Ernie Els, Camilo Villegas and Robert Allenby. In terms of the outright betting, VCBet has Sergio Garcia (11/1) pretty much neck and neck with Ernie Els (12/1). Villegas is a bit behind listed at 14/1. Allenby is a straight 20/1. Additionally you can get an each-way bet at ¼ of the odds for your selection to finish top 5- a great way to hedge bets on players that may not do so well going into the final day or somebody you expect to mount a late charge. You can also wager on top European Player and top Australasian player. Garcia leads the first pack at 2/1 while Robert Allenby comes in at 7/4. You're also looking at better than evens if you think somebody's getting a hole in one. If anybody scores an ace on any day you're looking at 5/4 and you can back the no at 4/7, but what's the fun in that?
