2009 MASTERS SNOOKER BETTING TIPS
Snooker fans across the globe have been spoiled lately with the sheer amount of exciting table-top action unfolding over the past few weeks. With a number of top competitors in action today, we'll be looking at a couple of matches on January 14th that have really drawn my eye. I think there's some value to be had here, especially if you're betting with Blue Square- one of the top sites for International snooker wagering. Stephen Hendry is taking on Neil Robertson and Robertson is the considerable favourite. Listed at 2.10, Hendry has it all to do against Robertson's 1.67. I'm backing Hendry to pull off the upset here, mostly due to his breaking strength which I think will give him an edge. I'm also backing Hendry to take the highest break score of the day which pays out at evens. I have a feeling that many will choose to back Robertson, but I'm confident in Hendry's ability and I think he may just be able to edge out the competition here, although the margin will be slim. Ali Carter versus Peter Ebdon is a bit of a different story. Carter is the 1.53 favourite compared to Ebdon's 2.37. I don't think Ebdon has what it takes to win this one and I feel as though he is actually underpriced. I think the margin here will be considerable and I'm very much enticed by the Ali Carter - 1.5 listed at 1.91. That puts you at nearly evens in a match that will likely be won by at least 2 or 3 frames. Ali Carter to take the first four frames 3-1 is listed at 3.00, which is also enticing. There's some incredible Snooker value to be had at Blue Square and I'd be quite right to say you should get your head examined if you're not betting there already. RECOMMENDATIONS:Back Stephen Hendry to win outright at 2.1Back Ali Carter to win -1.5 at 1.91 Back Ali Carter to take the first four frames 3-1 at 3.00
