2009 ROYAL ASCOT BETTING TIPS PART TWO
We're set and ready to go for day three of the 2009 Royal Ascot and Betting Choice has put together a few last minute betting tips.In the 2:30 Norfolk Stakes, we've got a 5 furlong slog that's going to pit several very talented two year olds against each other. The pick of the crop seems to be Monsieur Chevalier (11/8) and he boasts a Racing Post Rating nine points higher than his closest competitor. The 100% record boasted by this runner is constituted of four very competitive fixtures and I really think he's the one to beat here. Yogaroo (2/1) is supposed to provide the main competition and he's drifting downwards slightly as we get closer to post. I say a forecast with Monsieur Chevalier x Yogaroo is your bet here. Drop a few each-way on Radiohead (7/1) if you're a music fan. If this race were at York, I'd say back him. In the 4:20 Britannia Stakes we have Sir Michael Stoute's Desert Creek (13/2) leading the very large field, but the odds are spread out over so many runners that this one is arguably one of the toughest puzzles of the meeting. Stoute has another runner in this one that's caught my eye and I really like the look of Mirrored (18/1) who has a 100% record this year over two races. He looks a step above last year and I'm backing him each-way and playing a Sir Michael Stoute reverse forecast with Desert Creek and Mirrored. The 5:30 King George Stakes is going to be a lucrative one for punters who've done their homework. Opinion Poll (7/1) and Zarinski (15/2) head the field right now. Quai D'orsay (11/1) is well rated and carries a solid price. I'm always one to bet on horses named after obscure Cuban cigar brands, so I'm having a sentimental one here. I also like Barwell Bridge (14/1) and I reckon he'll be somewhere in the top four.
