2009 ROYAL ASCOT DAY 3 BETTING TIPS
We've got a pile of action happening at Ascot racecourse tomorrow and the Queen herself will be observing the day's events. In the 3:05 Ribblesdale Stakes we've got two very strong contenders who will be engaging in what looks to be an epic duel over 1 mile 4 furlongs. Leocorno, from Sir Michael Stoute's yard, is facing off against Take the Hint and they're listed at 13/8 and 11/4, respectively. Leocorno is a lightly-raced three year old who, so far, boasts a 100% record with victories at Sandowne and Doncaster. Take the Hint has an extra race under her belt, but has a 7-1-1 record. Her Newmarket victory over a field of 8 showed her ability cope under pressure and I like the 11/4 a lot more than the 13/8. If you aren't looking for a massive payday, an each-way forecast on these two could be in the cards. Other notables include July Jasmine at 7/1, Flying Cloud at 8/1 and It's Dubai Dolly at 200/1. In terms of the 4:55 Hampton Court Stakes, we have Freemantle leading the field by a considerable margin, but his 11/8 is too short of a price for me. In terms of records, I'm a big fan of Cashelgar at 16/1 who comes into the race 22-1. Four Winds isn't an entirely bad tip either ay 313-21 and at 15/2 makes a solid each-way bet. Monitor Closely is weighted well for the race, but the record concerns me and 13/2 is way too short for my likings. Take a Gander at Satwa Ruby if you're looking for a longshot and Palavicini also comes into this one on some solid form. We'll be releasing our tips for the rest of the races shortly, be sure to tune in for our Ascot Gold Cup predictions which will be hitting the internet in an hours time.
