2009 ROYAL ASCOT DAY FIVE BETTING TIPS

Paddy Power has the odds out for tomorrow's final day of action at the 2009 Royal Ascot. In the 2:30 Chesham Stakes, most of the punters are jumping on Beethoven (10/3) and he is the highest rated horse in the race, but I'm giving a second look to both Honor In Peace (9/2) and Emperor Claudius (6/1). This is a fairly reasonable distance and it could be anybody's race. In the 3:05 Hardwicke Stakes, we have a 1 mile 4 furlong battle that looks set to pit Sir Michael Stoute's Doctor Fremantle (6/4) against Saeed Bin Suroor's Campanologist (10/3). Bronze Cannon (13/2) and Dansant (8/1) are also in solid form and could be worth an each-way bet. In the 3:45 Golden Jubilee Stakes, a group 1 race, JJ The Jet Plane (11/4) has been joined by Sacred Kingdom (11/4) at the top of the heap. The real one to beat here is Ialysos (15/2) who boasts six wins in a row, three of which are coming from this year's action. The 4:24 Wokingham Stakes is a shorter six furlong dash and this one could be anyone's guess. High Standing (7/1) boasts solid form and I've also got my eye on Advanced (28/1) who is 2-1-3 from this year's competition. So many competitors over such a short distance means that this one really comes down to who starts the best. I'm also tracking Tamagin (20/1). More high odds and a large field for the 1 mile 4 furlong Duke of Edinburgh Stakes and I'm all over Hatton Flight (7/1) in this race. Drill Sergeant (12/1) looks a solid each-way and I'm going to be backing him on the place bet as well. Crackentorp (6/1) is the current favourite, but he hasn't had too much action yet this season and I think that could work against him over this distance. In the 5:35 Queen Alexandra Stakes, we have a whopping 2 mile 5 furlong slog that will really test these horses for the entire distance. Amerigo (9/4) is the favourite and while his form this year hasn't been the best, the punters continue to pile on. Caracciola (11/4) boasts a higher rating, as does Bulwark (9/1), but the distance seems to favour Amerigo. Tyrrels Wood (9/1) doesn't look too bad either at his price.
