2009 ROYAL ASCOT TIPS PREDICTIONS AND RATINGS

William Hill is an excellent racing site for the novice punter as they've recently joined up with the Racing Post to offer up a comprehensive selection of rating and form guides right alongside their current prices. Additionally, William Hill is also offering a bonus where if you back a horse at a guaranteed price and the starting price is higher, they will pay out on the higher price- you can't argue with that. Queen Anne StakesThe favourite for the Queen Anne is Gladiatorus, trained by Saeed Bin Suroor, and this four year-old has three on the bounce from this year- all during his epic stint at Nad Al Sheba. His RP Rating is 143 and that puts him ahead of Paco Boy at 141 and Main Aim at 135. Gladiatorus is 9/4 with Paco Boy at 10/3. Main Aim is listed at 9/2. PREDICTION1. Gladiatorus2. Main Aim3. AqlaamKing's Stand StakesAdrian Cook points out the interesting fact that Australian runners have taken the King's Stand Stakes three out of the past six years. Scenic Blast fits that profile and he boasts a 3/1 price and a 131 RP Rating. Amour Propre is 7/2 with a 130 RP Rating, and is one from one for this year so far. He also ended last season with three wins in a row. Fleeting Spirit boasts a rating of 131 and a 9/2 price while Borderlescott also boasts the same rating, but an 8/1 price. PREDICTION1. Amour Propre2. Tax Free3. BorderlescottSt. James Palace StakesMastercraftsman won the Irish 2000 Guineas while Delegator finished 2nd to him. Both horses will contest this 1 mile race and Mastercraftsman (5/6) is looking to be the O'Brien camps six winner of this race in the past ten years. Delegator is capable of pulling this one off and his 9/2 price is decent. I like these two in a reverse forecast, or a forecast Mastercraftsman x Delegator if you're feeling confident. PREDICTION1. Mastercraftsman2. Delegator3. EvasiveCoventry StakesCanford Cliffs gets the nod here and the gulf between him and the rest of the field is pretty considerable. Currently carrying a 7/4 price and 112 RP Rating, he looks set to beat these competitors over this 6 furlong distance. Red Jazz at 8/1 will provide some competition and No Hubris is also enjoying some action from the punters as well. PREDICTION1. Canford Cliffs2. Red Jazz3. No HubrisAscot Stakes HandicapThis long distance race is going to separate the men from the boys and this one is really anybody's race. Kayf Aramis is the current 7/1 favourite and Miss Venetia Williams has shown a bit of an aptitude for long distance winners this year. Judgethemoment has the best seasonal form going into this one with two from two and he boasts a 10/1 price and a 106 RP Rating. Galient is also widely regarded and is solid over distances. PREDICTION1. Judgethemoment2. Galient3. Kayf AramisWindsor Castle Stakes This is another interesting race and it will be very quick and very interesting with a field this big and a distance this short. Mister Manannan is the 4/1 favourite with an RP Rating is 110. His closest competitor, rating-wise is 109-rated Little Scotland on 14/1. Star Rover is a contender at 11/1 but I'm bucking the trend and backing The Hermitage, he's delivered for me this year and I'm a loyal type. PREDICTION1. The Hermitage2. Little Scotland3. Stand and Fight
