2009 SIX NATIONS BETTING TIPS
Wales continue to be the outright favourites to secure the 2009 Six Nations Trophy as the action gets back under way this weekend. The Welsh are backed at Blue Square with odds of 2/1. France are just a quick step behind at 3/1 while England and Ireland are both sitting at 100/30. Scotland are listed at a long 14/1 while Italy are looking for the wooden spoon at 50/1. You can effectively rule out these last two. Wales are listed at 11/2 to secure the Grand Slam while France and England are both considered longer shots at 8/1 apiece. You can back no Grand Slam winner at 8/15. Triple Crown is considered a safer bet, especially for the Welsh with their odds listed at 11/5. Ireland, England and SCotland are listed at 4/1, 11/2 and 8/1 respectively to secure the Triple Crown. You can back the Italians to finish dead last at 4/7 and, barring a heinous Scottish performance, that is probably the biggest lock in the entire six nations tournament. In terms of the weekend fixtures, England are looking at a -15 handicap sitting at 10/11 while Italy are +15 at 10/11. Outright, England are 1/9 compared to Italy's 5/1. Ireland and France is looking tight with only a 3 point spread between the two, with Ireland favoured by just a hair. A five point spread separates Wales and Scotland with Wales the obvious favourites.
