2009 US OPEN AT BETHPAGE BLACK LATEST BETTING TIPS
With the rain being considered the story of the day, day one at the 2009 US Open at Bethpage was postponed until tomorrow with Andrew, Ryan Spears, Jeff Brehaut and Johan Edfors Parr being listed as the unlikely leaders at -1. As it currently stands, Ladbrokes has Tiger Woods listed as the 15/8 favourite to win the tournament Woods is currently sitting at +1 thru 6. Ian Poulter sits at evens thru 7 alongside Justin Leonard. Angel Cabrera is at evens through 6 while Bubba Watson, Sean Farren, Michael Miles and amateur Cameron Tringale are all well placed at even par. Phil Mickelson is listed at 14/1 for the win with Geoff Ogilvy just behind at 16/1 Jim Furyk is 20/1 while Paul Casey and Steve Stricker share a 25/1 price. Ian Poulter is at 33/1 and that's not a bad each-way bet in my opinion. Sergio Garcia is also at 33/1 while Angel Cabrera, Ernie Els, Henrik STenson, Justin Leonard and Retief Goosen are all at 40/1. I've been advised by some golf experts I know to keep my eyes peeled on KJ Choi, who boasts a 100/1 price. Ladbrokes also has three ball betting with nearly the entire field represented. I'm expecting things to get back to normal tomorrow and for Tiger to start putting birdies in the cup. Bethpage Black is a notoriously difficult course and the wet conditions could make this an even more wide-open tournament. If you're going to back Woods, do it now, because that price likely isn't getting any longer.
