2009/10 ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE HIGHEST SCORING TEAM BETTING TIPS
William Hill has a really interesting long-term market for this year's upcoming English Premier League season. You can back which team you think is going to score more goals than any other- not goal difference but straight-up goals. I think there's a few interesting money-making opportunities here because, while I think the top 4 sides are going to have solid seasons, I think they won't be scoring too many goals and will instead be concentrating on stifling the opposition. Manchester United didn't win the league by scoring piles of goals last year- they did by keeping clean sheets- that's what wins the Premier League. Manchester United at 2/1 is a bit too short and Liverpool at 5/2 are a ridiculous bet considering there's only one pure goalscorer on the whole team. Chelsea at 3/1 isn't exactly the best option either, but they have a tendency to run up scores against weaker opposition. A match United might win 2-0, Chelsea will sometimes try to push and win 5-1. Arsenal are 4/1 and there's no way that they're scoring more goals than United, Chelsea or Liverpool. Personally, I think Manchester City are a snip at 7/1. Who else to score more goals than a team with 35 strikers and Kolo Toure? I think City will concede next year, I think they will concede a lot, but I think that they will score goals and will be attempting to win by a 4-3 margin most weeks. It won't be easy on the pulmonary regions of their fans, but I think it will make for interesting football from the neutrals perspective. You can back Spurs at 25/1, Aston Villa at 40/1 and Everton at 50/1. I don't really see any other teams with a strike force capable of pulling this off. You can also get each-way odds of 1/3 on the top two places.
