2010 AUSTRALIAN OPEN MEN’S MATCH BETTING TIPS FOR JANUARY 22
We’ve got some really quality tennis ahead of us as the 2010 Australian Open continues into the next round. There is still plenty of action yet to come and we haven’t really gotten down to that period where the big names start to face off against other big names. There’s been a few exceptions here and there, but by and large there has been a fair amount of roll-overs aside from the Federer and Del Potro matches we saw this week that went a few more sets than many would have assumed. And there was that whole Maria Sharapova thing.
Regardless, there is plenty of excitement ahead of us in the men’s division with Andy Roddick the 1/12 favourite to beat Feliciano Lopez who trades at 6/1. I think Roddick should take care of this one handily. Fernando Gonzalez is the 1/5 favourite to beat Evgeny Korolev who is listed at 10/3.
Scotland’s Andy Murray is a heavy 1/50 favourite to beat 12/1 Florent Serra. Murray is still yet to drop a set and has been steamrolling his way through the competition so far. He is a slim 1/4 to continue his straight-sets tirade.
Gael Monfils is the 2/5 favourite to beat 7/4 John Isner. It looks like the bookies expect a bit of a match with Isner listed at reasonable odds for a non-favourite. Juan Martin del Potro, my pick to win the tournament, trades at 1/12 as he takes on 6/1 Florian Mayer. Marin Cilic vs Stanislas Wawrinka looks like a hell of a contest and Cilic trades at 8/11 against Wawrinka’s even-money listing.
Rafael Nadal can be backed at a slim 1/20 to beat Philip Kohlschreiber who is listed at 8/1 Rafa Nadal to win in straight sets pays a 4/11 margin.
Then we have the dead-even contest between Ivo Karlovic and Ivan Ljubicic with both players listed at a 5/6 price to win the match.
If you’re looking to run an accumulator on today’s action, why not try Roddick x Gonzalez x Murray x Monfils x del Potro x Nadal which pays out just above evens.
