2010 BAHRAIN GRAND PRIX LATEST ODDS AND BETTING TIPS
There has been plenty of movement in the betting markets for the opening race of the Formula One season. Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso are now deadlocked at 3/1 thanks to the results of today's action. Yesterday, Alonso was considered the distinct favourite to win with Hamilton trailing, and it looks like the British Driver will be poised for a very big weekend if things go the bookmakers way.
Sebastian Vettel has taken a few steps back and is now listed at a 6/1 price with Michael Schumacher and Felipe Massa both trading at 7/1. Jenson Button has dropped slightly in price and is available at 9/1. Nico Rosberg and Mark Webber round out the list of possible contenders at 12/1 and 14/1, respectively.
There are a number of excellent markets with solid prices available at William Hill and the winning constructor odds have shifted around a bit as well. Ferraris sitting as the 13/8 favourite ahead of 2/1 McLaren with Red Bull prominent at 7/2. Mercedes are the only other plausible candidate at a 4/1 price tag. Force India are the next best contender and they are a lengthy 33/1.
A Dual Forecast is also available and you can take Hamilton/Alonso at 6/1 or Alonso/Schumacher at 7/1.
If you're looking to back some of the lower profile drivers, check out the top 6 finish market where you can still get prices like 33/1 for Timo Glock to finish sixth or better. Rubens Barrichello is worth a look at 4/1. Kamui Kobayashi is available at 3/1 and that's also a solid price.
Both Alonso and Hamilton are odds-on for a podium finish with prices of 4/6 and 5/6. Michael Schumacher is 7/4 to finish on the podium and I think thats a solid bet for fans looking to have a punt on the legendary driver.
Both Hamilton and Alonso are favoured for the fastest qualifying times with a 10/3 price for each driver. There are plenty of solid betting opportunities on the Bahrain GP and William Hill are also running a promotion where anybody staking £20 on the Race Winner market and you'll receive a free £10 bet on the 1st scorer market of the Sunderland vs Manchester City Premier League match. The offer stands for new and existing customers so you can't beat that.
