2010 EUROPEAN DARTS CHAMPIONSHIP OUTRIGHT WINNER ODDS
We're well underway in the European Darts Championship and after a great set of fixtures yesterday, there's even more tungsten action happening this evening. We'll be featuring our previews and betting predictions for the darts every day of the competition so be sure to stay tuned.
In regards to the outright betting on the European Darts Championship, it probably comes as no surprise that Phil "The Power" Taylor is priced at a slim 4/11 price to win the competition.
Raymond van Barneveld is the clear second favourite with a 15/2 listing to take the title from the ever-dominant Taylor.
The usual suspects are all here with James Wade available at 10/1 and Simon Whitlcok trading at an identical price. Taylor protege Adrian Lewis is a lengthy 25/1 and I think he may be a decent each-way selection as Bet365 is offering up 1/2 odds on the top two places.
Ronnie Baxter trades at 40/1 while Mark Walsh is available at a 50/1 price, alongside Andy Hamilton. Jelle Klaasen, Terry Jenkins and Jamie Caven are all priced at 66/1.
Wayne Jones, Denis Ovens, Wes Newton and Barrie Bates are all available at lengthy 80/1 price tags and one of these would pay dividends should they make the final, but they will need to combine extremely consistent play with a bit of luck in terms of who their opponents are. Anybody but Taylor is beatable at this stage so once you get into these longer-odds contenders you need to make sure they steer clear of the Power.
