2010 EUROVISION LATEST ODDS POINT TO GERMANY AND AZERBAIJAN
We haven’t seen a huge amount of movement in the betting markets for Eurovision 2010 with Germany’s Lena Meyer-Landrut priced at 11/4 and commanding the top spot. Azerbaijan’s Safura Alizadeh is priced at 3/1- just a small step behind Landrut and I suspect that they may be declared in a dead-heat once we get a little bit closer to the semi-finals.
You’ll find Israel clinging to its price of 8/1 for its contender Harel Skaat. Armenia continue to be strong contenders at a 14/1 price tag while Croatia have dropped in price as well and are also available at a 14/1 listing. Denmark are listed at 16/1 to pull off the victory while you can get a 20/1 price tag on Norway to pull off back to back Eurovision victories. The contest will be held in Norway this year so that may bode well for your chances if you’re looking for a longer-odds selection.
Greece, Ireland and Turkey can all be backed at 25/1 and that’s a shorter price for Ireland than many people expected. Slovakia and Sweden are priced at 33/1 while Belgium and the UK both trade at 50/1. Albania, Belarus and France are all at 66/1 while Serbia, Spain, Lithuania and Ukraine are at 80/1.
Keep in mind that you can get each-way odds on these Eurovision bets where you’re getting 1/4 odds on the top 4 places.
William Hill has also posted 2010 Eurovision Semi-Final Odds as well and there are plenty of decent bets available there. For the first 2010 Eurovision Semi-Final, you’re looking at Slovakia as the slim 5/2 favourites. Greece is priced at 3/1 while Belgium are just a step behind at 4/1. Albania are in with a shout at 7/1.
Unsurprisingly, Azerbaijan are the heavy favourites in the second 2010 Eurovision semi final. Safura Alizadeh is at 7/4 to win the second semi-final while her chief competition comes from Israel at 7/2 while Denmark is in contention at 13/2. I think Alizadeh is a great bet at that price and rest assured that if she doesn’t win the semi-final, her odds to win the final will skyrocket- likely to double digits.
It’s going to be very interesting to see how things develop over the next few weeks so be sure to stay tuned to Betting Choice!
