2010 FA CUP LATEST OUTRIGHT BETTING ODDS
With the last of the replay fixtures to be cleaned up today in the Leeds United vs Spurs match, we’re going to be examining the outright odds to win the 2010 FA Cup. This time around, there are two very distinct favourites vying for the trophy- the biggest one obviously being Chelsea who are trading at a 6/4 price with William Hill.
Carlo Ancelotti’s men have been given plum draw after plum draw and seemingly never get matched against Premier League teams away. Regardless, they look able to beat anyone in the competition and you’ll find them listed as strong favourites against second-place Manchester City. City are available at 7/2 to win the FA Cup and then the odds take another jump to Aston Villa at 11/2. Martin O’Neill’s men have shown cup acumen this season and are meeting Manchester United in the final for the 2010 League Cup. Could a cup double be in the cards for the Villains?
Today’s competitors, Tottenham Hotspur, boast odds of 6/1 to win the 2010 FA Cup. These four are the main competitors and I’m fairly confident that one of them is going to be hoisting the trophy on the last day of the English football season.
The biggest possible spoiler is likely Birmingham, you’ll find Alex McLeish’s side listed at a hefty 12/1 and they’ve shown this season that they can match wits with more or less anybody and get a result. Fulham trade at the same price, but I consider that too short for the Cottagers. I would take Brum over Fulham all day long in this competition at that price.
The odds take a massive step up to 33/1 for Bolton Wanderers and West brom while Portsmouth are somehow still in this competition. They trade at 40/1- the same price as Stoke City.
Leeds United’s odds to win the 2010 FA Cup are a solid 50/1 while Reading can be backed at a 66/1 price. Beleaguered Crystal Palace are trading at 100/1 ahead of Cardiff and Southampton who are both available at a 125/1 price. Notts County and Derby County boast 200/1 prices.
Keep in mind that William Hill is offering up each-way betting on the top 2 places at 1/2 the odds. This means you can back a team just to make the final. Birmingham would pay out around 6/1 for that type of bet.
