2010 FORMULA ONE CHAMPIONSHIP BEST ODDS AND BETTING TIPS
The 2010 Formula One Championship is almost upon us and William Hill has unleashed a whole slew of exciting betting markets in the build-up to the first race at the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 14th.
In regards to the 2010 Constructor’s Championship, Ferrari look like the ones to beat at 7/4 with McLaren just behind at 11/5. Red Bull look set for a strong showing with their 3/1 price while Mercedes GP can be backed at 4/1. These four groups look like the only ones that are actually capable of mounting a realistic challenge for the title. The odds then take a big jump to Renault at 33/1, BMW Sauber at 33/1, Williams at 40/1 and Force India at 66/1. Lotus trades at 80/1 while Campos Meta is at 100/1 with Toro Rosso. Virgin Racing trades at 200/1 while USF can be backed at 250/1.
In terms of the 2010 Drivers Championship, we have a very solid four-way competition between Fernando Alonso (11/4), Lewis Hamilton (7/2), Sebastian Vettel (4/1) and Michael Schumacher (9/2). Felipe Massa is listed at 8/1, Jenson Button is 10/1 to repeat as Champion while Mark Webber trades at 14/1. Nico Rosberg is interestingly-priced at 20/1 and then the odds take another big jump to 40/1 for Robert Kubica and Rubens Barrichello.
There are some interesting Michael Schumacher bets available here as well. Schumacher is 13/2 to win the Bahrain GP and 11/2 to come in 2nd. He is 9/2 for a 3rd place finish while he trades at 6/5 to finish between 4th and 8th.
You can also get in on the match betting between Schumacher and Jenson Button in regards to most pole positions. Schumacher is the favourite at 8/11 while Button trades at even money. Interestingly enough, in the Schumacher-Hamilton market you’ll find Hamilton at 4/9 to win more GPs than Schumacher, who trades at 13/8.
Lewis Hamilton is favoured to win exactly five Grand Prix’s this year with a 4/1 price to do so. Should he win ten or more, you’re looking at 33/1.
If you think two British drivers will finish top in the British GP, you’re looking at a 5/1 payout. Lewis Hamilton to have the fastest lap, qualify fastest and win the British GP rewards at 10/1. Jenson Button is 20/1 to do the same. Lewis Hamilton is 33/1 to out qualify Button in every single race of the season. Hamilton is a whopping 40/1 to hit the podium in every race in 2010.
How about this bet? You’ll get 33/1 odds on a constructor switching to a green Biofuel as their main supplier. Also, should Michael Schumacher be involved in a crash that determines the outcome of the World Championship, you’ll be getting a tidy 40/1 payday.
