2010 FRENCH OPEN AT ROLAND GARROS LATEST ODDS AND PREVIEW
While we’re just less than a month away from the start of the 2010 French Open at Roland Garros, we are already seeing the betting markets start to heat up for this massive tournament. If the odds are to be believed, then Rafael Nadal is set for a major victory and you’ll see him listed at an odds-on price of 5/6 to win the 2010 French Open.
Roger Federer is listed at 9/4 to win and that’s a very solid bet on the in-form Federer to win his second French Open in a row. He came awfully close the year before, losing to Rafa Nadal in the final match. A Federer-Nadal match-up in the Men’s Final of the 2010 French Open looks like the most likely outcome.
Juan Martin del Potro is well-priced at 4/1 and is a very plausible winner. Novak Djokovic is available at 7/1 and he’s just a step ahead of Andy Murray- who trades at an 8/1 price. The Scottish sensation would have been listed at a much shorter price for this tournament last year, but his form of late has been anything but rock-solid. He is still looking for that elusive first major and the bookies don’t seem to think that he’s got this one on his radar screen.
Nikolay Davydenko remains the only other plausible winner with a 10/1 price as the odds then take a big jump to 33/1 for Fernando Verdasco. An interesting outside selection would be last year’s runner-up Robin Soderling- who trades at a 40/1 price. He was on quite a run playing on the clay courts and you know that he wants that match against Federer back. He’ll likely come out all-guns-blazing and he can be a difficult player to line-up against.
Marin Cilic and Gael Monfils are both listed at 50/1. Other notables include Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and David Ferrer at 100/1. Andy Roddick is available at 150/1 while Tommy Robredo is at 150/1.
Keep in mind that you can get 1/2 odds on the top 2 places so it’s a great way to make some cash from a long odds selection battling their way to the final.
