2010 GENERAL ELECTION LATEST CABINET MINISTER BETTING ODDS
There are still plenty of betting options available if you’re looking to have a flutter on today’s election results. Paddy Power has really gone above and beyond the call of duty to bring some exciting betting markets to this year’s election.
We’ve already outlined a number of other betting opportunities for today, so in this article we’ll be examining the First Cabinet Minister to Lose Their Seat betting market and then having a look at the First Cabinet Minister to Concede.
As it currently stands, Ben Bradshaw of Exeter is looking like the most likely cabinet minister to lose his seat. He’s priced at 9/4 and that places him ahead of East Renfrewshire’s Jim Murphy and Morley & Outwood’s Ed Balls- both candidates trade at a 5/2 price tag.
Blackburn’s Jack Straw trades at 5/1 with Alistair Darling priced at 8/1 alongside Southampton-Itchen’s John Denham. Birmingham Hodge Hill minister Liam Byrne is listed at 10/1.
Be sure to remember that this is the FIRST cabinet minister to lose their seat not to lose the seat outright. Additionally, all bets are void if Labour is not defeated.
If Gordon Brown turns out to be the first cabinet minister to lose his seat you’re looking at a whopping 250/1- the same price as David Miliband. Ed Miliband trades at 100/1.
In the First Cabinet Minister to Concede market, we’ve got Lord Mandelson sitting on top as a big favourite with a 13/8 price. Lord Adonis trades at 4/1- just ahead of Alan Johnson at 5/1. Tessa Jowell trades at 6/1 while Harriet Harman can be backed to concede first at an 8/1 price.
Jack Straw is at 10/1 while Ed Balls trades alongside Andy Burnham at 12/1. Ed Miliband is at 14/1 while Alastair Darling and David Miliband are both priced at 16/1.
