2010 GRAND NATIONAL AT AINTREE SATURDAY TIPS AND LAST MINUTE SELECTIONS
It seems as though the each-way punters are having their way with the betting market for the 2010 Grand National at Aintree as we're seeing some tightening in the middle of the market as we inch closer to the running of Britain's biggest race. Even favourite Big Fella Thanks is now approaching double digits with most major bookmakers- rising from his price of 8/1 just 12 hours ago. You can find the Paul Nicholls-trained gelding at 10/1 with William Hill. He's fresh off a big victory in the Greatwood Gold Cup and looks to have the chops to handle the Grand National but there is too much value out there to ignore.
Mon Mome is starting to drift up as The Package is gaining some betting momentum. He's now trading around 12/1 and that's quite a few points shorter of where he's been earlier in the week. Last year's Grand National winner, trained by Venetia Williams, is approaching 14/1 at several bookies.
Paul Nicholls other high-profile charge is the talented Tricky Trickster, who looks like he hasn't peaked yet and could be able to dig deep and find more in this true test of class. I think he's capable of a victory here and will be a real contender if he's still standing towards the end of the race. His run in the Cheltenham Gold Cup wasn't quite what we were expecting here, but he's got to be respected and he offers up good win-only value.
One of the things that you can definitely take advantage of if you haven't placed all of your 2010 Grand National bets is the huge variance between bookmakers that is starting to develop. With the each-way betting volume forcing price cuts at certain bookmakers, you can find some incredible value if you get your timing right. For instance, Maljimar trades as low as 25/1 with Skybet and is listed at 40/1 with William Hill at the time of this writing. It pays to shop around right now, because that's a massive amount of extra value for the same exact bet.
A few other selections with some interesting movement at various bookmakers include Cerium- who can be found as low as 40/1 at Betfred but as high as 66/1 with Bet365 at the time of this writing. Backstage is at 18/1 with Bet365 and 25/1 with Blue Square. Value abounds in the markets for the 2010 Grand National at Aintree if you're willing to shop around. Ellerslie George is as low as 66/1 with Bet365 but 100/1 with Ladbrokes and Blue Square.
Certain sites are offering up better 2010 Grand National free bet offers than others, so you would do well to peruse some of the specials on offer for today's big race if you haven't placed your bets yet. Additionally, certain bookmakers are offering up extra places. Paddy Power, for instance, pays on the top 5 places this year. Several other top bookies do the same.
