2010 MASTERS AT AUGUSTA DAY THREE ODDS SHOW TIGER WOODS REMAINS THE FAVOURITE
If the UK bookmakers are correct then Tiger Woods is set to pounce at Augusta on day three of the 2010 Masters. After two exciting days of play from an increasingly difficult course, Tiger Woods has been priced as the 3.5 favourite by popular bookmaker Ladbrokes. Lee Westwood is priced at 5.0 with England's Ian Poulter sitting at a 5.5 price. Phil Mickelson is also considered a very strong contender and is listed at a 6.0 price tag.
Anthony Kim is priced at 9.0 while KJ Choi is a decent bet at 15.0. The odds then take a big jump to 35.0 for Y.E Yang. He's listed alongside Ricky Barnes. Hunter Mahan is at 51.0 while Ernie Els is a distant 81.0- the same price as Fred Couples.
So, according to the bookies, there are really six possible winners at this point unless something extremely dramatic happens. The Tiger Woods question is the big one- can he pull off his traditional late charge on the final day to clinch his fifth green jacket? It's going to take somebody to step up big-time because I don't think Tiger is going to get many bogeys on the final day.
Ladbrokes has two-ball betting available on a number of interesting match-ups. They've got Sergio Garcia as the 1.9 favourite to best Adam Scott who trades at 2.1. Nick Watney and Zac Johnson are dead even at 2.0 each while the draw is at 9.0. Trevor Immelman is favoured to best Tom Watson while Phil Mickelson is the 1.57 favourite to beat out 2.75 Y.E Yang.
Tiger Woods is priced at 1.44 to best KJ Choi, who trades at 3.25 to top Tiger. Another really interesting 2 ball pairing is Ian Poulter at 2.1 against Lee Westwood's 1.9. This is a really key showdown and I have a feeling that one of them is going to be paired with Tiger Woods tomorrow in what could be a legendary showdown.
