2010 PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP DARTS OUTRIGHT BETTING TIPS

What a tournament we have ahead of us over the next few days with so many top class tungsten-tossers taking the stage in the 2010 Players Championship of Darts. We have a full slate of action today that we’ll be previewing but we’re first going to examine the outright market and see where the long-term value lies.
Unsurprisingly, Phil “The Power” Taylor is your preferred selection at a massively short 4/11 price tag to win the tournament proper. Gary Anderson and James Wade look like the best possible challengers and they both trade at a relatively lengthy 12/1. It really shows you the dominance of Taylor, as he is heavily odds-on and his closest competitors pay out at over 10/1. Taylor’s protégé Adrian Lewis the next favourite to win the tournament at a 16/1 listing. The odds then take a relatively big jump to Mervyn King at 25/1 while Ronnie Baxter is sitting at around 33/1.
Mark Walsh and Colin Osborne are listed at 40/1 while Terry Jenkins and Andy Hamilton are trading at a 50/1 margin. Jamie Caven, Kevin Painter and Co Stompe are all available at 66/1 while a slew of players including Colin Lloyd, Jelle Klaasen, Michael van Gerwen and Alan Tabern can all be backed at 80/1.
Keep in mind that there are each-way odds available at 1/2 for the first two finishing positions. So if you can predict who faces off against Phil Taylor in the final, you’re in for a tidy payday, especially if he winds up playing against an upstart long-shot like Stompe (who showed great form at the PDC) and even Adrian Lewis represents some significant value at around 8/1 to make the final.
My selection, obviously, is going to be Taylor, but I like Stompe, Lewis and James Wade for the each-way bet.
