2010 ROYAL ASCOT DAY THREE TIPS FOR RIBBLESDALE STAKES NORFOLK STAKES AND GOLD CUP

The three feature races tomorrow look like they could produce a few more epic moments like we've seen over the opening two days of a truly remarkable Royal Ascot festival, at least for the punters. Layers are reeling off the second day at Ascot and you can expect some slimmer prices on the favoured options tomorrow as oddsmakers continue to lick their wounds.

The Group 2 Norfolk Stakes is another grassy 5f dash for two year-olds and you'd be tempted to take Frankie Dettori on top of Al Aasifh (Invincible Spirit) at 8/1 after today's solid outing. Dinkum Diamond (Aussie Rules) is the current betting favourite- undefeated with maiden and stakes victories at Salisbury and Sandown. He's trading at 7/2 but I've got my eyes on 5/1 Zebedee (Invincible Spirit) who boasts a course and distance victory here having captured the Aldermore Conditions stakes when sent off as a 2/7 favourite. Richard Hughes aboard for the trip works for me as well.
In the Ribblesdale Stakes, we've got no clear favourite and the shortest-priced selection appears to be Principal Role (Empire Maker) who just captured a listed race at Newbury when sent off at 3/1. It's been a great few days for the Abdulla team and I think this could be another feather in his cap. 12/1 Acquainted (Shamardal) looks an interesting outside bet.
There is some serious talent in the 2010 Gold Cup with Manifest (Rainbow Quest) leading the way odds-wise and hasn't finished off the board in five career starts. He took the Group 2 Emirates Airline Yorkshire Cup in mid-May and looks like it's a genuine possibility. Personally, I think Kite Wood (Galileo) is a better shout, having run 1121 since last July and that includes a stellar second place in the St Leger. He opened up this season with a victory in the Group 2 Prix Vicomtesse Vigier at Longchamp. This one looks like the best shot of the day for the Blue Team. Bannaby (Dyhim Diamond) ships in from Spain for this one and he's running 221 for the year. He's an each-way selection for sure at a 25/1 price.
