2010 RYDER CUP DAY ONE LATEST LIVE BETTING ODDS
Play is due to restart at the 2010 Ryder Cup shortly and likely by the time you wind up reading this we will be back underway at Celtic Manor.
Things aren't exactly shaping up the way we predicted yesterday and the Europeans are looking like strong favourites in three of today's fourball fixtures.
Interestingly enough, the shortest odds were on the Donald/Harrington partnership but they are currently behind to the Watson/Overton pairing. You can back the Americans in that fourball challenge at an 8/11 price- which is a considerable drop from the odds they were at yesterday. Donald/Harrington can be backed at 19/10 while a draw would reward at 9/2 with popular bookmaker William Hill.
McIlroy/McDowell looks to be a likely victory for the Europeans and you can still lock in a 2/5 price on them while Cink/Kuchar are rewarding at 3/1- they have a lot of work to do if they plan to get a result here.
The Westwood/Kaymer vs Mickelson/Johnson match-up looked a solid bet for the 5/1 draw yesterday, but it looks like the Europeans have this one wrapped up with a 4/11 price tag. Lefty and Johnson will pay out at 7/2 should they pull off the reverse.
The biggest toss-up at the moment is Poulter/Fisher vs Stricker/Woods where the Europeans are priced at odds-on with a 10/11 price and the Americans are priced at 6/4. That is still a plausible pick-up for Tiger and his partner but they have plenty of work to do.
The weather conditions are looking to be the biggest factor today and the unbelievably wet fairways make this one a tricky day to bet on.
In regards to the outright betting on the 2010 Ryder Cup, you can get an 8/15 price on Europe to win while the Americans are priced at 15/8 at the moment. A drawn series is trading at a hefty 9/1.
