We’ve just had the pairings announced for the 2010 Ryder Cup and the betting markets are already heating up with a number of top bookmakers announcing some fantastic odds for this massive tournament. The fourball and singles odds are out there and you can put together some first-rate parlay selections on this one if you’re feeling especially adventurous for the 2010 Ryder Cup.
In the Westwood/Kaymer vs Mickelson/Johnson looks to be a bit of a toss-up but the Europeans are getting the slightest of edges here as William Hill is pricing them at 11/10 while a victory for the Americans in this fourball is priced at 6/5. You can get a 5/1 price on the draw. The first hole is favoured to be a draw at a 1/2 price while Westwood/Kaymer to win pays out at 10/3 while Lefty/Johnson is trading at a 15/4 listing.
In the McIlroy/McDowell vs Cink/Kuchar fixture, we have the Europeans coming in as the odds-on favourites with a 4/5 price. The American pairing can be backed at a 17/10 price and that’s a great set of odds if you are looking to bet against Rory McIlroy. The draw is also at 5/1 once again. The European pairing are 3/1 to win the first hole while the Americans are trading at a 9/2 price.
Poulter/Fisher vs Stricker/Woods is looking like the exact opposite of the fourball pairing listed above. Steve Stricker and Tiger Woods are both trading at 4/5 for the win while Poulter/Fisher can be backed at 17/10. The Americans are at 16/5 to win the first hole while the Euros trade at 4/1.
Donald/Harrington vs Watson/Overton is looking like an intriguing fixture and the Europeans are heavily-favoured for this one with a 4/6 outright price against the USA’s 41/20 listing. You can back the Donald/Harrington partnership to take the first hole at 5/2 while Watson vs Overton is priced at 5/1.
If you’re looking for a first-day fourball accumulator for the Ryder Cup, we’ll be playing Mickelson/Johnson x McIlroy/McDowell x Stricker/Woods x Donald/Harrington at nearly 11/1 with William Hill.
