2010 VANCOUVER WINTER OLYMPICS ODDS FOR MENS AND WOMENS HOCKEY
We have so much betting action available on the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver that virtually everybody is going to be able to have a punt on one thing or another. A number of top European bookmakers have released odds for most of the events already and we consider Ladbrokes and Bwin your 2010 Winter Olympics betting destinations.
First and foremost is the Olympic Hockey. Ladbrokes has listed Canada as the favourites to win the tournament with a price of 1.9. Bwin has listed Canada at 2.25 to win Olympic gold in Men’s Hockey. Ladbrokes has posted Russia as the 3.6 second favourites with Bwin offering up a 3.5 listing. Sweden are considered the 3rd favourites and they are trading at 3.75 with Bwin and a massive 5.5 with Ladbrokes. The USA is the only other plausible winner and Ladbrokes has them at 8.5 while Bwin lists the United States at 7.75. There is some nice contrast between the odds there and you can see the Nordic and Russian betting volume at Bwin bringing down prices. Canadians are going to be getting better prices on Canada to win by betting with sites that cater to the European market.
In terms of the 2010 Olympic Women’s Hockey, Bwin has posted odds for Canada to win at a slim 1.55. The Canadians are very big favourites and Hayley Wickenheiser should be able to deliver another gold medal win. Their closest competition is expected to be the United States who are listed at 2.3 with Finland just behind at 2.3.
Bwin is offering up a double on Canada to win Women’s Hockey and Men’s Hockey at the 2010 Olympics at a 3.49 price. That means if you wagered $100 and they both won, you would receive a payout of $349.
Additionally, for the men’s hockey, Bwin is offering up head-to-head finishing position bets. This means that you can take two teams on a prop bet and figure out who’s going to finish higher in the standings. There is some tremendously easy money out there for discerning Olympic hockey fans. For instance, if you think the USA is going to finish higher than Sweden, you’re looking at a 2.3 payout. Should Sweden finish higher than the States, you’ve got a 1.55 price.
Some of the most interesting bets are Canada/USA with the Canucks at 1.4 and the USA at 2.7. Canada/Sweden is 1.47 for the North Americans and 2.5 for the Europeans. Canada is also 1.5 to beat out Russia, who trade at 2.4 to finish higher than Canada. There are odds on virtually every team in the tournament so be sure to check out that exciting market.
We will have odds coming your way for events like the Downhill Skiing, Luge, Nordic combined, bobsled, biathlon, and ski jumping!
