2010 WINTER OLYMPICS LADIES SUPER COMBINED SLALOM BETTING TIPS
America’s skiing superstar Lindsey Vonn looks to add another gold medal to her tally as she takes on the world’s best in the 2010 Women’s Super Combined Slalom today. She produced a dynamite performance on a very tricky surface to claim the gold medal and she will be looking to put together another epic performance, but she is facing some stiff competition this time around.
Lindsey Vonn’s odds to win currently trade at 13/8 with top UK bookmaker William Hill. This time around though, there is some very solid competition- Maria Riesch trades at a solid 7/4 price. There is only the slimmest of margins separating these two talented skiers. Anja Paerson had a decent outing in the downhill and she could be well-poised for a score here with a 13/2 listing. Kathrin Zettel trades at 7/1 and is in with a shout, to say the least.
The odds then take a significant jump to Elisabeth Goergl and Julia Mancuso at 15/1. Fabienne Suter trades at 33/1 while Michaela Kitchgasser trades alongside Tina Maze at 40/1.
Podium betting is available this time around with Lindsey Vonn and Maria Riesch both listed at odds-on to finish top 3. Vonn can be backed at a 1/3 margin while Riesch is listed at around 4/11. Anja Paerson can be backed at 13/10 while Kathrin Zettel also remains competitive at 7/5. You’ll find Elisabeth Goergl at 11/4 and Julia Mancuso at 10/3. Tina Maze is listed at 6/1 while Fabienne Suter is at 15/2.
This one is a tricky one, to say the least, with the ground conditions being a major factor. I think the going is likely to be quite difficult and we could see a few more insane crashes this time out. I do think Lindsey Vonn is the form skier, and her injury may have just been a bit of a ruse to throw off the competition. I wouldn’t put it past her, as the wily American looks set to pull off another big one.
