2010 WORLD CUP FINAL HOLLAND VS SPAIN PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS

Here we go- the matches don't come any bigger than this and you can count on an absolutely intriguing contest today between the Netherlands and Spain. The bookmakers are favouring Spain in this one and that provides great value for anybody looking to back the Dutch. In reality, I think this one is a lot closer than the odds suggest.

Personally, with Spain listed at an even-money price and Holland priced at 3.8, you have to admit that today's match is the type of fixture that will be won by the team that dominates the key moments. I don't see either of them slipping up and losing by a big margin, so I think it could take something special- possibly from a set piece- to determine who takes this one.
And that's only if we actually get a result in normal time.
If you're looking to back this one to go to extra time or penalties, you can lock in some terrific prices on both sides. Holland to win in extra-time is the long shot option at Bet365 and it's listed at 13.0 while the Dutch on penalties is priced at 11.0.
Spain are trading at 11.0 to win on penalties or in extra-time.
Bet365 considers the favoured correct scoreline to be a 1-0 result to Spain and you'll find that priced at 5.5 while a 1-1 draw can be backed at 6.5. A 1-0 result to the Dutch, a 0-0 draw or 2-0 to Spain are all priced at an 8.0 margin.
We had some great success backing each team to win 3-2 in the 3rd place match, and instead of a higher-scoring affair, we're backing each team to take it 2-1 with Holland at 13.0 and the Spanish at 9.5
The over/under on goals is set at 2.5 and you'll find the under heavily-favoured at 1.5 with the over at a very appropriate 2.5 price.
I think this one is going to be very tight and it's got to be admitted that the lower-scoring this one is- the more it favours the Spanish. I think tha David Villa & Co. will look to hold up the ball and dominate possession, but the Dutch are one of those sides that doesn't need the bulk of the ball- they just need to win the key moments. They're certainly the value play and if Sneijder or Robben can get some space then they could make Spain pay.
