2010 WORLD CUP GROUP F ODDS AND LATEST BETTING TIPS

Defending World Cup champions Italy are the heavy favourites to take top spot in what many would call the most underwhelming group in the tournament. Group F boasts the Italians ahead of second favourites Paraguay while Slovakia trade at a 7/1 price and New Zealand are a distant 50/1 to win Group F- what a story that would be.

Looking at outright qualification (finishing top 2) you’ve got Italy short-priced at 1/16 while Paraguay is sitting at 4/9. Slovakia is at 13/10 while New Zealand are 12/1. While Slovakia aren’t exactly one of the most high-profile European sides I think they are capable of beating Paraguay if they play at 100%.
On the other hand, I actually think that Paraguay could be one of the surprise outfits this tournament. You know there’s always two or three teams that play a lot better than many others give them credit for and I have a distinct feeling that Paraguay fit the bill this time around.
New Zealand are 1/50 to not qualify for the knockout stages while Slovakia are at 4/7 and Paraguay is at 13/8. Italy are 7/1 to not progress out of Group F. Personally, I think there are plenty of Italy-haters out there who may want to have a bet on that one.
Italy/Paraguay in the Group Forecast market is trading at a very short 13/10 while Paraguay/Italy isn’t out of the question at a 4/1 price. Italy sometimes start these things a bit slow and get better as the tournament goes on. If you’re feeling like a cheeky bet that’s a great price.
New Zealand are 1/5 to finish bottom (not the greatest odds, but that’s very plausible) while Slovakia are 5/1 to finish bottom. Paraguay are at 10/1 and Italy are at 33/1 to finish rock bottom.  If the tournament winner come from Group F, you’ve got a 10/1 payout- not bad at all.
Group favourites Italy are an enticing 16/1. Paraguay are 100/1.
