2010 X FACTOR LATEST ODDS FOR OUTRIGHT WINNER
It appears as though Matt Cardle’s stranglehold on the favourites position for 2010 X Factor is continuing as the latest slate of odds has just been released by popular UK bookmaker Ladbrokes. There is plenty of buzz about this upcoming season and you can count on plenty of auditory excitement in the coming months.
The 2010 X Factor betting markets are still in their infancy but the likes of Matt Cardle and Cher Lloyd are picking up plenty of betting volume already. 1 Direction is continuing to see plenty of search traffic and betting volume as well and a quick glimpse at the outright betting odds indicates that there are about six really solid contenders who are considered plausible winners at this point.
Matt Cardle’s odds to win X Factor are priced at 4.0 with Ladbrokes and his underwhelming and slightly awkward performance makes his talents appear all the more impressive. Male winners always have an advantage on shows like this but you just wonder whether he will be able to retain that voting bloc or not. He is a talented singer but you just have to wonder whether he’s good value at the moment.
Cher Lloyd is arguably the strongest early selection and her famous audition has catapulted her to global Youtube stardom. She definitely seems to have the support of both Simon Cowell and the betting public, and you reckon that the only thing that works against her is the high degree of expectations on her. She doesn’t have much margin for error, but audiences clearly connect with her personality and she’s a strong tip at a 6.0 price.
1 Direction remain quite competitive and they are head-and-shoulders above all the other groups in this one. Groups are difficult to bet on as you aren’t so much locking in a bet on an individual but on several individuals- that means you have a greater chance of inconsistent performances. Right now at 6.0, 1 Direction does not represent value for money.
Rebecca Ferguson was made a strong contender early on and he’s also priced at 6.0. She is definitely competitive, but it would be best to remain cautious about any wagers on Ferguson as we expect her price to trend upwards in the opening few weeks.
Gamu Nhengu is trading at a 7.0 price tag and she is going to be a force to be reckoned with during X Factor 2010. Aiden Grimshaw is available at 15.0 and that’s where the better odds start to end as the next best-priced contenders includes Mary Byrne (who was the favourite at one point), John Adeleye, Nicolo Festa and Belle Amie at a 21.0 listing.
