2010/11 CHAMPIONS LEAGUE LATEST GROUP BETTING RUNDOWN
We had some really big surprises today on Champions League Matchday One and it was a remarkably high-scoring set of matches, all things considered. We’ll be taking a look at all the different groups that saw action today and letting you know where they stand in the live betting market available on Betfair.
Group A looks to be fairly open but Inter Milan remains the favourite despite dropping points against Twente. With both matches from this group being draws, everything is very much up for grabs. Tottenham are now considered second favourites to qualify with a 1.5 price while Inter are 1.16 to go through. Werder Bremen sit at 2.1 while Twente are at 2.28.
Inter Milan are odds-on to win Group A with a 1.72 price while Spurs are 3.9 to win the group. Werder Bremen are at 5.6 and Twente sit at 28.0.
Group B action saw Lyon dispose of Schalke 04 by a 1-0 margin and the French side are the outright favourites to win the Group with a price of 1.91 with Benfica sitting at 2.36. The Portuguese made short work of Hapoel Tel Aviv and Schalke have it all to do at this point. This one looks to be an interesting contest for second between Benfica and Schalke.
Manchester United remain favourites to win Group C but we’re not sure how long that’s going to last. You can get a 1.67 price on them to win their Group while Valencia are sitting at 2.78. Rangers odds to progress to the next stage of the Champions League are set at 3.55 in terms of outright qualification while United are sitting at 1.05 to go through somehow and Valencia are at 1.3.
Barcelona have pretty much already won Group D considered how unbelievably easy the group seems to be. They are 1.07 to win while FC Copenhagen sits at 11.5. Barca are 1.01 to qualify and it remains a stiff contest for second spot with Panathinaikos and Rubin Kazan at 2.0 with Copenhagen at 2.1.
