- By A.J. The odds have not moved too much for the betting favourites in each division with Novak Djokovic trading at a 5/6 price to win the tournament before everything started and he has only moved down a point to 4/6 right now with most major European bookmakers.
Serena Williams is also trading at a pretty similar price to where she was when everything got underway and you’ll find her as short as 11/8 right now to get the outright victory against the rest of the tournament. One reckons that she has a much more difficult task than Djokovic does when you consider that she has an in-form Maria Sharapova breathing down her neck.
Sharapova has quickly become the bookmakers short-priced second choice her with a listing of around 6/4 putting her just a point behind the heavily-favoured Serena Williams.
With a few different fixtures set to kick off tonight we could have a few interesting changes in the betting market but nothing blockbuster would happen unless Milos Raonic manages to pull off the match of his career and dispose of Novak Djokovic - something he is about 5/1 to pull off.
