2015 Men’s Australian Open Betting Tips PT 1

The Australian Open is now fully underway and, though we still have a ways to go until we start seeing some seriously tantalizing match-ups between the world’s top players there is still plenty of money to be made on the outright markets and some of the lopsided matches.

In the men’s division some of the hottest wagers right now are on the name the finalists market but to get a better gauge of that it’s worth looking at the Singles prices for the time being.

It’s probably not a huge surprise to many that Novak Djokovic is the betting favourite for the 2015 Australian Open and the bookmakers now have him trading at an odds-on price to pull off the big victory in the first Grand Slam of the year. Punters will find the Serbian sensation trading at a 10/11 price right now and looking good value for money when you consider his recent form and overall track record of success in this particular fixture.

The chasing pack of the usual suspects are priced a bit further away from Djokovic than they have been in recent years. Roger Federer is now trading as the clear second choice for the big victory here and what a story that would be if he was to actually pull it off. What an amazing way to start off the year and make a bold statement about his intentions during what many consider to be the twilight of his career.

You have to wonder how quickly the bookmakers would spring up with prices for Federer to pull off a clean sweep of Grand Slam events?

Right now, you’ll find the Swiss master at a 5/1 listing and there will be some who find that an enticing price - particularly when you factor in the each-way wagering out there where you would get half that price just for Federer to make the final.
