While we are only just about to see the official opening of the Summer Transfer Window, things are already starting to heat up in the betting markets for the 2016/17 English Premier League. We had a pretty solid season last year with a lot of different sides able to accomplish their stated goals of Champions League qualification while upstart sides like Southampton couldn’t finish up the impressive start they made to the season but their final league position still sets them up nicely to be able to kick on and make an impression in Europe next season.

There is a lot to like about the way that things are shaping up and it appears as though we could have another impressive line-up of new star players coming into the Premier League with the likes of Edinson Cavani being bandied around as recruits for some of the Premier League’s top clubs. 

The bookmakers seem to be confident that next year is likely to be Chelsea’s year again and they have priced The Blues at a slim price to win the league next year - likely just as easily as they did this time around. 

As it currently stands, you can back Chelsea as high as 6/4 right now to win the League while some books float them at 11/7 or 7/5 to secure back to back Premier League titles. 

Chelsea effectively had the thing won by March and they have so much strength in depth that you can expect them to really put the press on throughout this upcoming season and play even more confidently. They are great at killing off games and the Diego Costa factor simply cannot be understated. There have been few players who have taken to the Premier League as quickly as he did with maybe Ruud Van Nistelrooy coming to mind in terms of his immediate effect on the team.
