Manchester United were able to secure their Champions League status after their first year out of the tournament for an extremely long time. The bookmakers seem to think they have a much better chance coming up this year than last year and you’ll find them trading at a pretty plausible price for English Premier League glory this year.

They are available at the moment at a price of around 5/1 with virtually every major bookmaker and that is a distinctly shorter price than we saw them at for much of last year. Now that Louis Van Gaal has had a chance to place his stamp on the team, you can assume that the players definitely know what to expect now that they have adapted to his relatively strange methods. 

He certainly seems like he isn’t exactly for everybody, but Van Gaal has been able to coax some excellent performances out of United’ supporting cast and you can bank on them being able to move forward and accomplish even more than they did last year - particularly in the league. It was dropping points against the lesser sides that really did them in and their poor start to the season didn’t help things at all in regards to their finishing position. 

With a few new players already signed - Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin among them - things will likely get even more exciting at Old Trafford next season and the rumours that they are willing to do a straight swap with PSG for Edinson Cavani for Angel Di Maria must have United fans getting excited. 

Liverpool are trading at about 25/1 to win the Premier League with one or two books listing them at 20/1. Spurs are getting more respect than usual and they trade anywhere form a 20/1 to a 25/1 listing. Southampton have obviously proven to the bookmakers that they deserve some respect too and they are anywhere from 100/1 to 250/1 to win the Premier League with Everton floating at around the same price.
