The bookmakers have the blue side of Manchester trading at a price as low as 2/1 with several going as high as a 5/2 margin for the outright league victory. They have plenty of new players coming in and they still boast one of the most organized and effective units out there in world football.

One has to wonder whether Manchester United's involvement in the Europa League means that they will have an advantage over their arch-rivals City, who will be expected to produce a challenge well into the later stages of the Champions League. While it might mean that City will be able to sign better players by being able to offer up a place in Europe's top football competition you have to assume that United and Jose Mourinho will have lots of excitement ready to roll as well.
