2018 Women’s Australian Open Betting Tips
- By A.J. There is a lot to like about a few of their chances here and you’ll note that a lot of the odds are clustered up together and within a much tighter range than you’ll find in the 2018 Men’s Australian Open because it is absolutely dominated by Roger Federer right now.
The women’s open is a great competition and always sets a solid tone throughout the rest of the Grand Slam Tennis season.
Right now, it looks like a tight three-way dogfight between Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep and Caroline Wozniacki with the bookmakers giving Kerber the slimmest of edges, for the most part. You’ll find her price trading right around a price as low as 8/5 with some bookmakers going as high as a 23/13 price right now but you can’t expect that to last too long.
Simona Halep is considered to be a general 5/2 but there are a few bookmakers who still list her at a 13/5 margin and that’s not a bad price, all things considered, since she really has every chance.
Caroline Wozniacki is an incredibly popular player so you can assume she’s going to take a fair amount of betting volume. She’s trading at a price of around 5/2 with a number of top bookmakers right now with a few of them choosing to go as high as a 13/5.
Elise Mertens, who hails from Belgium, is the other contender in the mix and she can be backed at 8/1.
