2018 World Cup Tuesday Betting Preview PT 1
- By A.J. Ryder on June 18, 2018 15:25 GMTTuesday's action at the 2018 FIFA World Cup looks to be one of the most interesting days of wagering out of the entire tournament so far. The days play lacks an outright superstar country and many of the games appear to be fairly nip-and-tuck from a wagering standpoint.
We had a really exciting weekend of action where one of the main patterns that emerged was that the well fancy countries by and large all underperformed with the likes of Spain, Germany, Brazil and France not getting the results that they would have preferred.
Tuesday sees 3 contests kick off and Columbia takes on Japan in the opening fixture where the South American team, understandably, come in as the discernible favorites and it's also worth noting that they ranked as the only odds-on favorite of the entire day.
South Korea had a tough start to their tournament and we're unable to score a goal in their fixture so it's going to be interesting to see what the Japan can emerge as the Asian nation that can make a major statement at this tournament.
The bigger South American teams have underwhelmed that's far and it's going to take a good performance from Columbia - because South Korea have players who can score - particularly from set-pieces.
The draw certainly could be an interesting option here for a lot of neutral fans and you can expect that to be a popular wager during the build-up to this match.
