2019 Men’s French Open Betting PT 1

The action on the clay courts is just around the corner as the 2019 French Open at Roland Garros is set to unfold in the coming weeks. There is plenty to like about the tournament this year and you can expect a lot of action and excitement happening at this next Grand Slam tournament.

It has been a very interesting year in the world of tennis and you get the feeling that certain old standards are being changed as new players are beginning to emerge at the highest levels.

This time around the bookmakers seem to be favouring two very familiar names to make it to the final with Rafael Nadal being considered the slim favourite at an 11/10 margin to lift the trophy at the end of the tournament. He has been playing some good stuff lately and the surface here always plays to the strengths of the Spaniard’s game.

Novak Djokovic is the next challenger and he looks like he’s trading at a rather tempting price if you think he’s going to be able to turn in another vintage performance in a major championship. The bookmakers have him floated at a general 9/4 with a few going as high as a 5/2 margin depending on whom you’re wagering with.

Dominic Thiem is the next biggest challenger and he has really broken into the upper echelon of men’s tennis over the last couple of majors. His odds are hovering anywhere between a 9/2 and 6/1 margin with a number of top bookmakers and it’s worth remembering that you can back him on the each-way and still get ½ odds should he make it to the final.
