Stefanos Tsitsipas is the fourth favourite to win the 2019 French Open and you’ll find the bookmakers have him priced at an 18/1 price tag to win the tournament and that shows the clear gulf between the top three contenders and the rest of the pack. There are a number in here who have the ability to win major championships and if you reckon Nadal or Djokovic could slip up over the course of the tournament then it’s a good spot to stake your money.
Djokovic recently dropped a match to an opponent he should have easily beat and now it looks as though somebody could pop up out of the pack and make a big statement here at Roland Garros.
Living legend Roger Federer is available at a price of around 20/1 and he has shown that he can definitely hang tough and continue to grind out major championships but this typically isn’t the court where he is flashing his best stuff. Should he win his first two matches then you can expect his price to drop significantly so it may be worth backing him at this point in time to lock in that premium price.
A loss by Nadal or Djokovic would see Federer’s odds drop like a stone.
Alexander Zverev is also in the mix here and his price hovers around a 33/1 margin with the bookmakers also listing Juan Martin Del Potro as high as a 50/1 price tag which makes him a very tempting each-way wager in the 2019 French Open.
