Taking a look at the betting markets for the Men’s US Open, you’ll see a lot of the usual suspects vying for the top position and it probably won’t come as a big surprise that Novak Djokovic enters the tournament as the betting favourite with a solid price of around 11/8 with several top bookmakers.
There is a lot to like about Djokovic’s form at the moment and he was able to get the better of Federer in one of the most competitive finals you’re ever to see. This time around, it looks like Roger Federer is trading at a 6/1 price tag to win the US Open once again.
Rafael Nadal can be backed as the 5/1 second choice with the bookmakers not seeing too much between him and Federer.
The odds then take a considerable jump to a best price of 22/1 for Alexander Zverev and you can bank on the fact that they don’t see much competition for the punters outside of the top three contenders in the mix here.
Juan Martin Del Potro is in the mix as an outsider here and you’ll find him trading anywhere between a 22/1 and 28/1 price tag. He has been able to take on some of the top players in the past and may be worth a shout here this time around.
