AIR FORCE ONE 2009 CHELTENHAM GOLD CUP BETTING TIPS
Air Force One has been a force to be reckoned with for several seasons now and this seven year-old, trained by CJ Mann, is set to make a serious statement at the 2009 Cheltenham Festival. Air Force One's last big win came on April 22 at Punchestown racecourse where he came in first out of a competitive field, piloted by his regular jockey Noel Fehily. Bred by Gestut Karlshof, this horse put up a solid fight at the Stan James King George VI Chase, losing out to Kauto Star and finishing fifth. BJ Geraghty was on top that day and Air Force One doesn't have the best track record when being piloted by anybody other than Fehily. Currently, Air Force One is slated to run in the Cheltenham Gold Cup barring any unfortunate last-minute withdrawals. Listed at 33/1, Air Force One could certainly pop up in the final few hurdles and really throw a monkey wrench into the plans of those who are backing Denman or Kauto Star for the win. AIR FORCE ONE BETTING TIPSFor me, Air Force One isn't considered a prime candidate to win the 2009 Cheltenham Gold Cup, but I do get the feeling that he will certainly factor into the final equation. I would hesitate to drop any serious money on him until we know who's going to be riding him in that particular race. Air Force One's partnership with Noel Fehily simply can't be understated and if Fehily is on-top going into the Cheltenham Gold Cup, then I would say that things are truly up-for-grabs. With a record of 8 wins in 22 races, with 6 of those coming with Fehily on top, you can't say an Air Force One victory is out of the question.
