ALBERTO CONTADOR PRICED AT 2/11 FOR 2010 TOUR DE FRANCE WINNER AND 16/1 TO TAKE STAGE 16
Alberto Contador moved into the overall lead of the 2010 Tour De France today after taking advantage of some mechanical problems suffered by former leader Andy Schleck. Contador has been close to the lead for quite some time and now looks to have made his move.
Bookmakers appear quite confident that Contador won't be caught and, while his tactics may put off some observers, he is clearly in it to win it by any means necessary.
You'll find Alberto Contador's price trading at a 2/11 margin with William Hill to win the 2010 Tour De France.
At this point in time it looks like the only other plausible winner is Andy Schleck, who is trading at a lengthy 7/2. There are only odds on nine different contenders right now with nobody really even carrying a semi-plausible price that doesn't require an outright miracle.
You'll find Denis Menchov priced at a 33/1 margin while Samuel Sanchez is trading at a 40/1 price tag. Jurgen Van den Broeck is available at a 100/1 price with Robert Gesink listed at 200/1 alongside Joaquim Rodriguez.
Ivan Basso and Levi Leipheimer are the only other contenders with odds listed- both priced at distant 500/1 prices.
For the stage 16 winner odds, we've got Samuel Sanchez at 12/1 to win this leg while Damiano Cunego is priced at 14/1. Alberto Contador and Andy Schleck are both trading at 16/1 prices and Contador is probably worth a go there.
Alexandre Vinokourov is available at an 18/1 price tag while Sylvain Chavanel and Luis Leon Sanchez trade alongside Nicoolas Roche at 20/1.
