Amir Khan vs Oisin Fagan Betting Tips
Bolton's lightweight Amir Khan will re-emerge from the proverbial wilderness to square off against Irishman Oisin Fagan next month at London's ExCeL Arena. Khan suffered a sharp setback in his career as he was felled almost instantly by Breidis Prescott for the knockout in last month's bout in Manchester. The fallout from that bout was considerable as Khan's team sacked his coach, Cuban Jorge Rubio.

To get back in shape and to get himself fit against tighter competition, Khan has been training at a Los Angeles gym and sparring with Manny Pacquiano, coincidentally facing Oscar De La Hoya in Vegas on the same night.
A NEW CHALLENGE
Fagan represents a different type of challenge that Khan has faced in previous bouts. Fagan's record stands at 22 wins out of 27 fights, but the 34 year-old has only gone a full 12 rounds once. Fagan isn't necessarily famous for his hitting power, but relies more on athleticism and finesse.
The fight is certainly setting up to be a make or break bout for Khan as he seeks to build upon his solid, yet imperfect, record in lightweight boxing. In his last fight, he was completely undone by a left-left combination that left numerous pundits wondering whether Khan could be described as "chinny" as term that hadn't been applied to him yet. Unfortunately, the embarrassing loss coincided with Khan's first pay-per-view fight. Amir has publically stated that he owes a victory to his fans and that as a "world beater" he will need to come back stronger.
BETTING TIPS
While odds for the fight will be released in the coming weeks, we should keep in mind that Khan is a young fighter with a lot still to prove. I am confident that Fagan will attempt to knock out Khan in a similar manner during the first round or two, but if Khan can get through the first two he should dominate as the fight goes on. If Khan can go the full 12 rounds, he will be odds on to secure the victory. If Khan is to win, it will be by a clear decision, while Fagan will be looking for the knockout, especially in the early rounds.
