ARGENTINA VS GERMANY PREDICTIONS AND QUARTER FINAL TIPS PART TWO
It's not particularly surprising that Gonzalo Higuain and Lionel Messi are the favoured anytime goalscorers and you'll find both Argentines at a 2.25 price to hit the back of the net. Carlos Tevez is sitting at 2.75 with Diego Milito just a step behind at 3.25. Sergio Aguero is available at 3.5 alongside Miroslav Klose.
I think that Klose has the potential to be the key variable here for the Germans. Thomas Muller is definitely another one to keep your eye on and he tends to arrive late in danger areas- something that could be a major factor in this fixture. Mesut Ozil is also priced at 5.5 and I think he's great value.
Philip Lahm is always worth keeping an eye on as well and you'll find him well-priced at 15.0 anytime.
Messi and Higuain are both priced at 26.0 to score a hat-trick in this match while Tevez is listed at 34.0. A Miroslav Klose hat-trick is trading at a lengthy 51.0 and I could see him having a bet on himself to do so if he got the start.
Argetina are favoured to score the first goal of the match and they're odds-on to do it at 1.8 while Germany can be backed at 2.2. You have the same set of odds for the "to score the last goal" option as well.
A penalty being awarded and scored at any point is priced at 3.0 while that penalty to be awarded and missed is 10.0.
Judging from the prices in the total goals market, it looks like the bookmakers think this could be a distinctly open match. You'll find the over/under set at 2.5 with the under just edging it at 1.8 and the over at 1.9.
I think it will be open and fluent and what Germany won't want to be doing is chasing Argentina. Germany will win this match if they can score the first goal and consistently dictate play through the full 90 minutes. Extra-time and penalties are a distinct possibility and I would be all over the Germans in that scenario.
