ARGENTINA VS NIGERIA LATEST BETTING ODDS FOR WORLD CUP 2010

South Korea pulled off a great result this morning and that bodes well for my prediction that they could be one of the teams to beat in Group B. They are in really good shape right now and likely only need a draw to qualify to get through to the next stage. Winning the first match in your World Cup group is so important and Greece basically has to win their match against Nigeria next week. 

Nigeria will be looking to pull off a dramatic upset against Argentina- a team that knows a thing or two about getting beaten in their first World Cup fixture. I remember them losing 1-0 to England in their opening match in 2002. 
The bookies are all over Argentina here though and they trade at a 2/5 price with popular UK bookmaker Blue Square. The draw is priced at 10/3 while Nigeria trade at a lengthy 8/1 price. 
The bookmakers favour goals here though, that's for sure with the 2.5 over/under posting 4/5 odds for the over selection and a 10/11 price on the under. Over 3.5 goals pays out at a tidy 11/5. 
Back Argentina on the handicap instead of backing them ouright, you'll be getting paid out at 11/10 instead of 2/5 and they only have to win by two goals. 
The correct score market favours a 1-0 or 2-0 result to Argentina at a 6/1 price while a 3-0 result pays out at 10/1. Argentina 3-1 pays 12/1 while a 4-0 result pays an enticing 22/1. 
A 2-2 wouldn't be out of the question if Nigeria have a great match and you'll find that priced at 18/1. 
Nigeria to win 1-0 is listed at 16/1 while a 2-1 scoreline results in a 25/1 pay day. 
Argentina to score in both halves is listed at 7/5 while they are 9/4 to win both halves. They are 11/2 to score first and fail to win (a terrible price) and they are 7/1 to win having been behind. The bookies favour a clean sheet at 10/11 but back them to win to nil instead at 11/8.
