ARGENTINA VS SOUTH KOREA 2010 WORLD CUP BETTING ODDS

Today's first match is setting up to be a really intriguing affair as Lionel Messi & Co. take on Park Ji-Sung's South Korea side in a match that the Asian team will likely view a draw as a massive result and another big step towards the second round.

Regarding the pre-match odds, you'll find Argentina the significant favourites at 1.44 with Ladbrokes while South Korea can be backed at 8.0. The draw is paying out at 4.0 and that will probably be a decent option for the less adventurous types who are looking for a bit of value.
I actually think a draw is a plausible outcome here as we just haven't seen a lot of the top teams really firing so far. I don't think that South Korea are going to come out and really do anything that crazy or put up a big tally or anything like that. However, I do think that their ability to snatch goals against the run of play could come back to haunt Argentina if their defence pushes a bit too far forward.
You can back Argentina (-2.0) at a 4.33 price while South Korea (+2.0) is sitting at 1.53. Argentina (-1.0) is listed at 2.1 while South Korea (+1.0) is tradinh at a 2.87 price.
South Korea are listed at 4.0 to score a shock early goal in this match and that's a nice bet if you're a South Korean fan. I don't see Argentina getting one too early here, as I think they will try to get organized and get the ball to Messi early on for the most part.
Argentina are undone a bit by shooting too early or shooting when they should pass so I think if they can maintain their patience then they should take this one.
How's this for an interesting betting market- you can back Lionel Messi in a match bet with the South Korean team. Messi is priced at 2.75 while South Korea are at 3.25. The draw (Messi scores no goals and South Korea is shut out) is priced at 2.25.
