ARSENAL VS CELTIC 1ST LEG CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BETTING TIPS

The betting odds for Arsenal vs Celtic have definitely taken a bit of a shuffle in the past 48 hours, following the Gunners outright demolition of David Moyes' Everton in a 6-1 rout. Top bookmaker 888sports has listed Arsene Wenger's men at 19/20, just south of evens, to take the 90 minutes victory against the Hoops at Celtic Park. You'll find the Scottish team at 11/4 and the draw listed at 12/5. In terms of outright qualification, Arsenal are heavy favourites to progress to the Champions League Group Stages at a 2/9 listing. Compare that to Celtic's 3/1 odds. I have a feeling that we'll see punters pushing for a high-scoring match, but I don't see them repeating their weekend heroics so quickly. The slimmest correct-score odds are 6/1 for a 1-1 and a 1-0 to Arsenal. 2-0 and 2-1 to Arsenal both pay out at 15/2 while you'll need to back Arsenal at 4-0 before you start looking at the big payday, in this case 4-0 will garner a 66/1 price. I don't see 4-0 happening, but if Arsenal do score 4 goals, I think Celtic will notch a few. I'm backing 4-2 Arsenal as my long-shot tip at 66/1. I can see Arsenal coming strong out of the gates here and putting in a very solid opening 45. Arsene will instruct his men to attempt to kill the game off before half-time. Remember we're using the away-goals rule here, so if Arsenal can get two quick ones, they could effectively end the tie. I'm backing Arsenal at 8/5 to win the first-half. That's easy money in my opinion. In terms of the goalscorer markets, Eduardo and Robin Van Persie are the favoured strikers for the Gunners each with a 6/4 anytime price and 11/2 first and last. Andrey Arshavin is at 6/1 first and last with a 13/8 price to score anytime. After watching the match on Saturday, you've got to have a punt on Cesc Fabregas to score and I'm backing him at a whopping 12/1 to score first and you can also get a solid 7/2 on him to score anytime. He ran the midfield on Saturday in a way I haven't seen him do in years. I reckon he'll be bang-on form again. Your safest bet of the evening? Arsenal to win with Fabregas scoring at 7/1.
