Those four draws for Arsenal have come against London rivals Crystal Palace and Chelsea, Burnley and Sheffield United and they currently sit 10 point off the coveted Champions League places and are six points adrift of the European places altogether.

Interesting they are also only seven points ahead for the relegation zone and even more interestingly, their opponents are level on points and are also unbeaten in their last four Premier League games.

Unfortunately, the Magpies have not managed to win away from home since their 2-0 defeat of Sheffield United on December 5th. In away games they collected only one win in their last six and have also one win in their last seven home and away. They have drawn a fair bit, registering three in their last four games.

Arsenal despite their draws, are unbeaten in their last five while Newcastle have won one and drawn three of their last five.

Arsenal have just shaded Newcastle on the head to head statistics as well with the Gunners victorious in their last two home games against their upcoming visitors and they logged an away win on opening day.

Arsenal will hope to kick off a run of wins to help them climb the table especially if they want to end up in the top four. Unbeaten at home in their last two, including a 2-0 win over Manchester United, the Gunners will see this game as the opportunity to turn a new leaf.

Bukayo Saka may be available for Arsenal after injury along with hard man Sead Kolasinac while Andy Carroll could return to Newcastle’s squad.

If these two sides don’t get their act together fast, they could be in for an unwanted relegation scrap. As it stands, Arsenal aren’t losing games and are steadily growing stronger while Newcastle continue to underwhelm most times and struggle away from home.
