ARSENAL VS PORTO CHAMPIONS LEAGUE 2ND LEG BETTING TIPS

Arsenal need to pull off a dramatic reverse if they are going to go through to the quarter finals of the 2010 Champions League. After one of the biggest refereeing howlers I’ve ever seen, Porto were gifted a 2-1 result during the 1st leg. Arsene Wenger’s side will have to contend without the acumen of Cesc Fabregas and that certainly works in Porto’s favour.

William Hill is running a really exciting promo for English football fans here. If you stake £20 or more on the double result market (Half-time/full-time) you will get a free £10 in-play bet on the Manchester United vs AC Milan clash tomorrow. This is good for new and existing William Hill customers, so be sure to take advantage of that opportunity if you’re looking for some extra value.
Arsenal’s odds to win are 8/13 (which is pretty strong) and considering that they have the ever-important away goal, it gives me a bit more confidence. Porto are also fairly crap away from home, and I could see them struggling in the opening few minutes if Arsenal really come at them. Porto are a solid 5/1 while the draw pays out at 13/5.
The favoured correct score option is Arsenal 1-0 which pays out at 9/2- this would be enough to see the Gunners through on away goals. However, with their defence being notoriously shaky, I think they may need more than one. 2-0 to Arsenal pays out at 5/1 while a 1-1 draw (which would see Porto go through) is trading at 11/2. 2-1 to Arsenal would force extra time and that’s also quite likely at a 6/1 price.
Porto win the match 1-0 pays out at 11/1 while a 2-0 victory is a massive 25/1. Porto to win 2-1 pays out at 14/1. A 2-2 draw, which would see Porto through, pays out at 16/1.
Simply put, Arsenal must win the match.
Arsenal are 11/8 to win both legs of the Double Result while draw/Arsenal pays out at 16/5. Porto/Arsenal rewards at a massive 22/1.
In regards to the goalscorer markets, Nicklas Bendtner needs to sharpen up and be the go-to-guy for the Gunners. He’s at 6/5 anytime and 9/2 first or last. He is 7/1 to score 2 or more and 25/1 to score a hat-trick. Andrei Arshavin’s odds trade at 5/4 anytime and 5/1 first or last. Eduardo da Silva is listed at 6/4 anytime and 11/2 first or last. Keep your eyes on Thomas Vermaelen, who knows how to score, as he trades at a juicy 6/1. Sol Campbell can be backed at a colossal 12/1 and I can see Arsenal grabbing their goal from a set-piece. This brings the defenders into play as possible goalscorers.
Porto will be looking to Hulk and Falcao at 10/3 and 9/1 first or last. Freddy Guarin is a dangerously under-rated player and he trades at 8/1 to score anytime.
If you think Arsenal will see off Porto easily, try backing them on the (-1.0) handicap at an 8/5 price. If you think we’re headed for extra-time, back that Arsenal 2-1 at 6/1. With Bendtner not exactly setting the world on fire, I like Arsenals defenders to step up and grab the goals today.
